Job Definition
Ensure that all the equipment of the hotel is in good working condition and all engineering-related activities are carried out efficiently through dedication and hard work. Coordinate with Housekeeping / F & B Service / F & B Prodn / FO for repair activity in out-of-order rooms and for departure checks, etc.

Duties and Responsibilities
The associate will be the face of the company for most guests.
Recording the boiler readings
Ensure the laundry and steam are working and in good condition.
Maintenance of the electrical and plumbing systems.
Log down all relevant data and established information from recording systems.
Take rounds of all essential services daily at established routines to check, report, and correct any issues if any.
Check fuel and LPG supplies and help the department plan for any sudden shortages.
Ensure the proper functioning of timers and the boiler plant: this will help in controlling energy costs and also ensuring accuracy in guest services.
Swimming pool maintenance.
Read the GSTS report and understand the importance of the same.
Maintain all additional systems that ensure the quality of boiler and laundry systems.
Demonstrate understanding of the technical service skills for assigned areas (Electricals, Plumbing, etc.).
Respond to equipment failures in all areas of the hotel.
Maintain furniture by implementing the preventative maintenance system in place.
Responds to both guests and hotel staff's complaints about non-functioning equipment.
Maintains guest rooms in optimal operating condition by performing repairs as needed.
Uses both power and hand tools in a safe and efficient manner.
Give shift-related handover about complaints and systems to the reliever.
In addition to the above-mentioned duties and job functions, any other assignment is given on an occasional basis or daily basis by the immediate superior or the management as per operational requirements.
