About Vedic Village
Who we are
The story of Vedic Village, the people behind it, and the places it lives.
Where it began
Vedic Village is the hospitality arm of the Sabari Group, born in 2023. But the story behind it is older, and quieter.
It begins with a young man who left a small village in Palakkad in 1988. His mission then was simple — to provide for his family. His greatest dream was to one day afford a bicycle. What he started that year would, over the next 38 years, grow into the Sabari Group — a community of more than 3,500 people working across many trades.
The journey moved far from the quiet mornings of the village he left. But the memory of that village — the way people received one another, the unhurried pace, the small gestures — stayed with him. Vedic Village is the shape that memory has taken. Not a recreation of the past, but a reinterpretation of village life for the way people live now. A place built from the home he once left, made for those seeking a way back to something they recognise.

What we believe
Hospitality, in its dominant form today, often performs. It announces itself, dresses up, and asks to be admired. We believe in another way. The deepest comfort is not in being impressed, but in being received. Around that idea, four principles shape every decision we make.
A sense of return, not escape.
Sensory stillness, not stimulation.
Honest simplicity, not excess.
Collective care, not service hierarchy.
These are not promises about what we offer.
They are decisions about how we choose to receive you.

The people
From the Founder
Shashi Kumar Nair
Founder & Chairman, Sabari Group
In my heart, I remain that simple man from Palakkad. The world I stepped into as a young man was loud. We have built Vedic Village to be the opposite — a place where the soul can finally breathe. It is my way of bringing the journey full circle. A place built from the memory of the home I once left, where the human touch is more important than any machine. Our hope is simple — to leave a mark on the people who visit us, to stay in their hearts forever.
